I shoot a 7mm for elk and pretty much deer, but I just bought a Rock River AR15 and I would like to use that for deer. I want to go out and shoot pretty quick, let me know if your interested. Maybe out at Douglas Ridge.

Re: GUNS......What are you using for what type of hunting?
I shoot a Remington 338. I use 250gr Nozzler Partition ammo for both deer and elk. It packs a serious punch and works well for either big game.

Re: GUNS......What are you using for what type of hunting?
I hunt with a .270 Win. Model 70 or a .338 Ruger M77. Now that my oldest son is getting interested in hunting, I've added a .243 Ruger M77.
Always hunted big game with Nosler Partitions. 130 Gr for the 270 and 210 Gr in 338.
I've been fortunate the past year and was able to hand down my old 10/22 (and buy a second one) to my two boys. They will be a terror on the prairie dog towns this spring.
My Ruger #1 in .204 Ruger and CZ 527 in .223 are both ready to take some rats as well.
Anyone else impressed by the 17 HMR? I bought the CZ 452 Varminter and picked up a NEF Sporter for the boys. These things are amazingly accurate...with no wind.
I got a lot of my Dad's traits and the love of guns is one I treasure! My wife doesn't understand it, but that's OK...the boys do!

7MM Remington Mag with a big Bausch and Laumb scope, I just bought a Rock River AR15 that I would like to shoot deer with this year. I need some type of optics on it, looking for something reasonably priced.
